Baby, Look at You Now!

Baby Dai is the fifth child born to a minority couple high in the central mountains of Vietnam. His parents harvest vegetables in the hills to eat and sell. Life is hard; hunger is a constant reality. Dai’s mother did not know she was expecting until far into her pregnancy--29 weeks. Doctors diagnosed the baby’s cleft lip/palate and recommended an abortion. After all, wasn’t life hard enough for the struggling family?

Dai came into the world on Christmas Eve. His surgery took place at the end of March. In June, he will be six months old. Healthy and happy because of you, the family’s helper!
