Hoa practices stairs! Her thankful mother now sheds tears of joy!
Four-year-old Hoa arrived at the therapy center in the arms of her mother, still and unresponsive. The limbs on her left side had drawn up close to her body, seemingly immovable. Her eyes were vacant and expressionless. Unable to hold back her tears, Hoa’s mother poured out her worry for her daughter’s life. Could she survive? Could she understand?
That was in 2014. Therapists went to work: massage, exercise, encouragement, love. It took four years for Hoa to have control of her neck muscles and sit without constant assistance.
Now 13 years old, Hoa has mastered sitting, crawling, walking, jumping, and running. She can dress herself and take part in family activities and household chores. Best of all, she is happy and engaged with those who speak to her. Persistent love is at the heart of what God has done: a 9-Year Miracle!
