Before coming to Promise House, Sang lived a life of instability. His parents never married -- his mother left when he was just 3 years old. Only 2 years later, his father would become a victim of a random murder. His grandparents were old and often sick, so they couldn’t keep up with raising him and his younger brother. Sang was frightened and lonely -- would everyone else leave him too?
Partners like you stepped in and provided Sang (and his brother) a home at Promise House! There, he is always loved and cared for. He has 3 nutritious meals a day, help with his homework, and plenty of “brothers and sisters” to hang out with! You believed in his potential and he is now in vocational training and English language classes.
Initially, Sang struggled with behavior issues, but your intervention and mentorship helped him mature into a responsible role model for his younger siblings. His passion for the guitar sparked and flourished, leading to significant improvement in his skills. Even now, he spends his days teaching the other kids how to play! Because of you, Sang is confident in his abilities and is excited for the future. Thank you for what you’ve done for him!
