Your compassion and generosity change the lives of young people like Mỹ, a remarkable young woman whose story of hardship is a testament to the power of resilience and God's goodness. Born in 2006, Mỹ’s early years were full of instability. Her father suffered from a severe liver disease, and her mother, unable to provide the care needed, often neglected both Mỹ and her husband. When Mỹ was just eight years old, her father passed away, and her mother, seeking a new life, abandoned her daughter and left to start over with another man.

Alone and without the support of her family, Mỹ was taken in by a relative’s household. However, their struggles to care for her soon became too much, and Mỹ was sent to Promise House Group Home. It was there that Mỹ began to experience a glimpse of the love and support she so desperately needed. Now, at 18, Mỹ has graduated high school and is excited for her next chapter in life.

Late last year, Mỹ joined Victory House, looking for support in setting herself up for independence and success. Since then, she has made remarkable progress. Unlike some who struggle to find part-time work, Mỹ took the initiative to secure a job immediately upon starting the program. Her determination to create a future for herself is evident in every step she takes. She has also successfully passed her exams to enter Da Nang College of Tourism—a major achievement!

Although Mỹ’s mother has remarried, Mỹ has found a new family thanks to you. She says, “If one says that a family must have a father and a mother, then I don’t have that. But if a family is defined as a place to lean on during hard times, then Orphan Voice and my sponsors are truly my family.”

In addition to her studies, Mỹ works part-time as a server at a café, where her positive attitude and excellent service have earned her the respect and admiration of her coworkers. Despite the pressures of balancing work and school, Mỹ remains focused on her goals. Your support continues to lift the burden of financial worry so she can focus on her future. With God’s grace and your continued support, Mỹ is not only surviving—she is thriving, stepping confidently into a brighter future.
