Ten months ago, Quan’s mom arrived at Hope Therapy Center feeling lost and hopeless. Her seven-year-old son, with autism and sensory processing disorder, was about to start first grade. Quan’s mom feared that the staff there would not understand her son’s struggles with simple tasks and communication. She worried he would be bullied, judged, and rejected.
With an unstable income, his family could not afford private therapy services. They had tried other centers, spending money they needed for living expenses, but had seen little improvement. Things were at a breaking point.
But then, you stepped in and offered the support that Quan desperately needed. Your gifts make it possible for Quan to receive therapy twice a week from loving Christian therapists. They see his potential and pour therapy, learning activities, and encouragement into him!
At the beginning, Quan had a hard time finishing activities and following directions from others. His dysregulation would often result in physical outbursts and running around. However, you didn’t give up on him. New physical activities help him build body awareness and focus. His goals are updated regularly, and his family is frequently able to participate in the sessions.
The results have been nothing short of amazing! Today, Quan is thriving. He participates in activities with greater focus, follows directions more easily, and expresses his emotions in healthy ways. He attends regular school for 2 hours every morning, and his mom feels confident taking him there. Your support has given him and his family a brighter future.
Beyond the therapy for Quan that you provide, Quan’s mother is able to receive the emotional support and guidance she needs. Therapists meet with her weekly, offering practical advice and understanding. They pray with her, cry with her, and reassure her. Her hope is being restored!
Quan’s progress is a testament to the power of your generosity in delivering God’s healing love. Thanks to your commitment to Hope Therapy Center, Quan has not only made incredible strides in his therapy but has also gained the confidence to navigate the world around him. Thank you for the life-changing work that you do!
